Bruno vs. Eminem; Staged or Not?

GET 86372906PB032_18th_Annual_MWas Eminem and Bruno’s MTV Awards stunt staged or not?

We’ve read the aftermath articles, gossip columns, and blogs about the incident and they all point to a staged plot. MTV writers and the Real Slim Shady himself insist this was all planned out and he knew about the humiliating act.  Staged…yes, camera angles perfect…yes, Eminem knew about the stunt…no, a homophobic rapper caught off guard by the man notorious for pulling off outrageous and uncomfortable conniving acts for a living…yes!

Does anybody remember Borat?  Eminem is a perfect target for Sasha Baron Cohen. His raps make fun of homosexuals, which happens to be the character Bruno, a gay Swedish model, Sasha dubs as in his next movie. Other MTV VJ’s have also felt the wrath of M’s lyrics, just ask Carson Daly.  All these ingredients combined with a national audience make for a hearty snack of M and M’s.

They both have something to promote but Sasha has nothing to lose.  Okay, this circus stunt proved to be genius and may very well help sell Eminem ‘s records, but do you really think a sober Marshall Mathers would sign up to have a grown man’s asscheeks in his face?

Eminem has dignity to keep, a swagger to uphold, a gangsta about him! When Sasha was lowered to his final resting point, there was no acting involved.  Sorry, I’ve seen 8 Mile and he’s not that good of an actor. Eminem was in shock and disgraced.  His true gangsta came out after they finally lifted Sasha from him and he left the building with disgust in his face.  Wouldn’t an acting Mathers return to play his single after the confrontation to leave a lasting impression?  I sure would have, probably with Sasha on stage!

After everything was said and done, Eminem and MTV agreed to say the whole incident was staged.  MTV did this to be at good graces with Eminem and “Em” did it, well he had no choice.

Call me a conspiracy theorist, I’m just high on Kool Aid!  Staged or not, I want to hear your thoughts!
