What happens when George and the GetAds crew gets bored? Well, if that were a predictable answer then there probably wouldn’t be a GetAds at all and we’d be slumming it at some second rate network.

But it’s not a question anyone can answer because it’s something that just happens and over the New Year’s weekend it happened again. George was looking out at the snow and ice covering his lake and dreaming that summer was here, but he knew that was a ways off and isn’t one to sit around idle. So, he thought back to a time when hockey and girls were the only thing on his mind (the difference these days is it’s business and girls) and that’s when the idea was hatched.

George yelled at his brother Pat, Daniel and some others that were around to grab any shovels, scrappers and brooms and they piled into the cars. They took everything down to the docks at his lake and then George unveiled his plan, “on this day we will build a hockey rink!” and with that he jumped on the ice and immediately fell through the ice…. No, not really, don’t be so gullible!

They jumped on the ice and began the task of clearing off the snow to make a hockey rink. After about 8 hours of intensive work (and about a carton of cigarettes for Daniel) the rink began to come alive! Boards were visible, nets were bought, side rink for figure skaters (George’s sister or anyone else not up to the hockey fun) and a network of lights for the real hockey players that play into the bitter cold. The rink was done, the teams were picked and everyone was ready to play, so where’s the puck???

Everyone to be sure to keep your eyes open for hidden treasures, the greatest things in life and business aren’t always visible on the surface and might take a little imagination and work!!!
