I was 20 and was working for a couple of guys who were making mad money with an affiliate product. After working for them for 2 years, I figured out how they were doing it and thought, "Why not me?"

Got banned from adwords and looked for alternative ways to monetize the websites I had at the time…when I found out how much money people were making I dropped all my websites and started PPC.
