By now, I’m sure you’ve heard the story of the man who bought once thought destroyed Ansel Adams negatives at a garage sale for $45. He found out later they are worth a small fortune of $200 MILLION!
(you can read the full story here.)
Instead of dropping what we are doing and start scouring garage sales for lost treasures. Let’s do what we always do – relate this to affiliate marketing.
Searching for offers and traffic sources has the same principles of garage sale hunting.
You’re looking for that hidden treasure in the midst of junk, items you already have, or stuff you really don’t need.
But let me offer this piece of advice to you in relating this hidden treasure concept to affiliate marketing.
It’s not always the offers with the most traffic that will make the most money for you in the end.
Affiliates ask us that all the time. “What are the top offers on your network.” While that is a fantastic question, know the answer will contain the most competitive fields out there.
There are offers everywhere that haven’t been tested, or have just a little bit of traffic on them but a high conversion. Seek these offers out. Use your affiliate manager and work with them to find offers that don’t have a lot of traffic on them, but show some promise.
Instead of asking for the top offers, ask for the offers with the least or no traffic on. There you may find the treasures that will knock your ROI out of the park.
